Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to conduct on-site inspections, materials testing, and environmental sampling for construction and environmental projects. You will work with experienced professionals to gain practical field experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to projects that impact communities.

The role requires frequent travel, a strong attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in field-based outdoor work preferred.
• Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories.
• Prepare detailed test reports and logs with findings.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration.
• Communicate status updates to project managers and supervisors.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and use PPE at all times.
