UES, Inc. is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects across diverse sites.

The role involves on-site inspections, sample collection, and lab testing to verify compliance with specifications and regulations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of traveling up to 70% to job sites, supporting project teams with timely data and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction, engineering, geology, or related field is a plus.
• 0–3 years of field-based outdoor or physically demanding work preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain within specified time period.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and PPE usage; basic computer proficiency including MS Office and field data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Properly collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results and submit to project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure accurate documentation of results and site conditions.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers to provide real-time updates and address issues.
