Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, and materials testing on construction projects. You will perform on-site inspections, sample collection, and laboratory testing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

This role requires frequent travel to job sites, strong attention to safety and detail, and the ability to work outdoors with a team. Growth opportunities and hands-on training are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant training is a plus.
• 0–3 years in outdoor/field roles preferred (construction/materials testing is a plus).
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to operate company vehicles.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories.
• Prepare detailed test reports and maintain testing equipment.
• Communicate test results and site conditions to project teams.
