UES is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to support geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing projects. You will perform on-site inspections, collect samples, and conduct field and lab testing to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• 0-3 years in a field-based outdoor role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• ACI Level 1 or ability to obtain within a set timeframe.
• Commitment to OSHA safety and PPE usage.
• Proficient with MS Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical docs.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates and other materials.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories for testing.
• Ensure testing meets project specs, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Document results and site conditions; submit reports and presentations.
• Communicate status with dispatch, supervisors, and managers in real time.
• Adhere to project timelines and schedules; travel as needed.
• Participate in training and certification programs to stay current.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle and plan maintenance.
• Perform other duties to support project goals.
