Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I to join our team. The role supports engineering, environmental services, materials testing and inspection projects with on-site inspections and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.

You will collect samples, ensure regulatory compliance, and generate detailed reports for project managers. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, detail oriented, and capable of working outdoors with frequent travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training is a plus.
• Outdoor, field-based work experience is preferred or plus.
• Must be able to read and interpret procedures and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates and more.
• Collect, label and transport samples to laboratories for testing.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs and documentation for managers.
• Maintain testing equipment per guidelines and safety standards.
• Communicate status and site conditions with project teams in real time.
• Adhere to project timelines and safety policies, including OSHA rules.
• Travel to job sites and operate company vehicle as required.
