UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspections across multiple sites. You will conduct on-site inspections, collect samples, perform lab tests, and ensure compliance with project specs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction, engineering, geology, or related field is a plus.
• 0-3 years of field-based, outdoor, or physically demanding experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain within specified time period.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and PPE usage.
• Basic computer proficiency with MS Office and Field Data Collection tools.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper functioning per guidelines.
• Document test results, observations, and site conditions; prepare timely reports for managers.
• Communicate status and issues to dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers.
• Adhere to project timelines and schedules; travel as required.
• Participate in training and certification programs to maintain proficiency.
