Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or coursework in construction, engineering, geology, or a related field is a plus.
• 0-3 years of experience in a field-based, outdoor, or physically demanding role preferred (construction, materials testing, geotechnical, or related industry experience is a plus).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to operate company-assigned vehicles safely.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain within a specified time period.
• Commitment to workplace safety, OSHA standards and company safety policies, including proper PPE usage.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and Field Data Collection (FDC) software or similar tools.
• Mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic and unit conversions.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, and reports.
• Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail for sampling, testing procedures, and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results for project managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain testing equipment and PPE, and ensure accuracy and timely submission of results.
• Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers with real-time updates on job status.
• Adhere to project timelines, schedules, and safety protocols; travel as needed.
