Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Field Technician to install customer service drops and outlets in homes and businesses. You will use electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot performance issues, ensure proper signal levels, and educate customers on new equipment.

You’ll join a team with strong training, a company truck, and uniforms. Benefits include 20 days PTO, medical coverage from day one, a 401(k) match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record in the applying state.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work in small, confined spaces; lift up to 80 lbs; climb ladders; work in all weather.
• At least 3 months of customer service or related experience; education/experience can substitute.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and repair performance problems.
• Maintain proper upstream/downstream signal levels at each customer termination.
• Proactively suggest upgrades and educate customers on equipment.
• Fulfill other duties aligned with company purpose and brand principles.
