Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Installation Technician in Fort Myers to lead customer installations, network maintenance, and service activations, delivering reliable connectivity for enterprise clients. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure a high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced field setting.

The role requires strong problem-solving, the ability to work independently outdoors in all weather, and a valid driver’s license for operating a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting technical, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, or IT issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; resolve customer issues.
• Work independently in field-based environment in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer installations, network installations, repairs, and service activations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical service issues using established procedures and tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and diagnose complex technical issues as needed.
• Deliver a positive customer experience through professional communication and service interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and troubleshooting efforts.
• Collaborate with team members and support operational improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations after training and support occasional after-hours work.
