Job summary

Franklin Energy / AM Conservation is seeking a field technician to install, inspect, modify, and service Direct Load Control devices for residential markets. You’ll work with HVAC and electrical systems, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.

You should have basic construction knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in teams. Occasional travel and on-call duties are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting in residential/commercial settings.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic construction knowledge.
• Knowledge of building science/energy auditing.
• Experience installing technologies and using tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and service DLC devices.
• Demonstrate HVAC technical aptitude and understand system components.
• Work safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.
• Travel to job sites as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain professional appearance and client relations.
