Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field technician in Greensboro to install, inspect, and service Direct Load Control devices for residential markets. You will work with HVAC and electrical concepts, ensuring quality and safety while meeting customer specifications.

The role requires strong customer service, problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment. A valid driver’s license is essential and travel up to 95% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in wiring, lighting, HVAC, or related trades.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Basic construction knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of building science/energy auditing.
• Experience installing technologies and using tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and service DLC devices.
• Maintain professional appearance and client-facing standards.
• Meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Collaborate with team to improve operations year over year.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours service calls.
• Conduct inventory counts and report results.
• Ensure safety and organization of warehouse and fleets.
