Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Commercial Generator Field Technician to maintain and repair generator and power distribution equipment at customer sites. The role includes on-site technical support and collaboration with the Product Support team.

Ideal candidates will have multiple years of field experience, strong diagnostic and schematic-reading skills, and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Safety and documentation are essential, with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years field experience servicing generator systems (Level II)
• 6 years field experience for Level III with 500kW+ experience
• 10 years field experience for Level IV with preventative maintenance and paralleling switchgear
• Experience with ATS repairs, controller retrofits and loadbanking equipment
• Expert in reading schematics and wiring diagrams in electric controls environments
• Must observe safety standards and maintain PPE requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site service and maintenance of generator and power distribution equipment
• Offer technical support to customers on operation and maintenance aspects
• Complete Field Service Reports, Time Sheets and other required documentation
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors and maintain company equipment
• Travel on-site 85%+ and be available for 24x7 on-call services as required
• Mentor mid to high level technicians as requested
