Nippon Paint Automotive Americas, Inc. in Princeton, Indiana is seeking a Field Technical Service Representative to support line performance, track quality trends, troubleshoot color and appearance, and manage inventory reporting.

This role coordinates with customer bases and internal teams, conducts QC tests, develops process recommendations, and helps optimize formulations for production runs on site. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree or equivalent experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or 2+ years of customer-based technical experience in automotive paints required.
• Computer and software skills are required.
• Strong communication skills with report writing and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and projects with customers and Cleveland facility via action register management and regular technical project meetings.
• Monitor online performance and incoming quality for processing color and appearance criteria.
• Track inventory levels with FTS Specialist/Technical Account Manager and Sales for effective stock management.
• Implement and track value-added activities at the customer to improve production processes.
• Generate reports, data, and documentation for projects and issues.
• Assist in developing customer line correlations and formula optimization.
• Monitor customer production runs and determine performance requirements within the account.
• Coordinate and execute technical service needs of customer, including color and flow adjustments.
• Perform QC tests on NPAA materials on site as required.
• Recommend process or robot program changes for product improvement.
• Document customer line processes to determine root causes and preventive actions.
