Job summary

NPAA Lebanon, KY is seeking a Field Technical Service Representative to support automotive coatings, manage line performance, troubleshoot color and appearance issues, and provide on-site technical reports and support.

The role requires a BS degree or 2 years of related technical experience, strong software skills, and excellent communication, with the ability to work with 2K coatings and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Science Degree or 2 years of customer-based technical experience in automotive paints.
• Computer and software skills required; data interpretation and reporting.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with 2 component coatings and isocyanates; respirator PPE requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and projects with customers via regular meetings.
• Monitor online performance and inbound quality for color/appearance criteria.
• Track NPAA inventory levels with the FTS Specialist/Technical Account Manager and Sales representatives.
• Implement value-added activities to improve production processes.
• Generate reports, data, and presentations on account projects.
• Assist in developing line correlations and color/formula optimization with Lansing group.
• Monitor customer production runs and determine performance requirements.
• Support RGA issues with FTS Specialist, TAM and Sales.
• Coordinate technical service needs and adjust materials on-site for production batches.
• Perform QC tests on NPAA materials on-site.
• Recommend process/robot changes for performance improvements.
• Document line processes to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Coordinate sample submissions and production trials.
• Participate in facility continuous improvement programs.
• Complete reports to track NPAA performance; facilitate team meetings.
