Job summary

Vivint Smart Home seeks a Manager, Technical Expertise to serve as the technical authority for field installation and service. The role ensures field professionals receive the knowledge and support to deliver high-quality installations and service experiences, bridging Field Operations, Product, Engineering, and Training teams.

The successful candidate will have deep field experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build credibility with field teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on field installation, technical operations, or service experience.
• Experience creating, delivering, or influencing technical training programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively to support field operations and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on field installation and service practices.
• Define technical skill requirements for Field Professionals across all installation and service disciplines.
• Partner with Learning & Development to design and maintain technical training curriculum.
• Evaluate new products, hardware, software, and field tools prior to broad deployment.
• Establish relationships with field leadership and technicians to gather feedback and drive improvements.
