Job summary

Straight Edge Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical Alignment Engineer to proactively assess, document, and improve clients' technology environments.

The role combines onsite field work with technical assessment, documentation, and planning, including onboarding new clients and ensuring accurate environment baselines. You will work independently at client sites, follow established standards, document findings, and escalate where deeper expertise is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, network support, or similar technical experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Working knowledge of business networking, including switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, and common network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with servers, endpoints, backups, and business technology environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including MFA, endpoint protection, patching, email security, and access management.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct scheduled onsite Technical Alignment visits for assigned clients.
• Evaluate client technology environments against established standards and best practices.
• Inspect network closets, server rooms, firewalls, switches, wireless equipment, UPS systems, workstations, and other assets.
• Review Microsoft 365, servers, endpoints, backups, security solutions, networking, and other business-critical systems.
• Document findings clearly and consistently; escalate when necessary.
• Track findings and verify status during future reviews.
