Job summary

Straight Edge Technology is seeking a Technical Alignment Engineer to proactively assess, document, and improve clients' technology environments. This role blends onsite field work with technical assessment, documentation, and planning, after training on our standards and processes.

You will conduct scheduled onsite visits, document findings, and identify areas needing attention. You will onboard new clients by documenting environments, risks, and baselines for transition to managed services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support or similar technical experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with business networking (switches, firewalls, TCP/IP).
• Experience with servers, endpoints, backups, and security environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled onsite Technical Alignment visits for assigned clients.
• Evaluate client environments against standards and best practices.
• Inspect network closets, server rooms, firewalls, switches, wireless gear, UPS and assets.
• Review Microsoft 365, servers, endpoints, backups, security solutions and networking.
• Document findings clearly and ensure accurate reflection of client environments.
