Job summary

UTEX Industries in the Houston area seeks a Technical Advisor – Well Service Products to serve as a technical problem solver and customer liaison for field operations. You will support packing performance, conduct on-site inspections, train customer personnel, and collaborate with maintenance teams to extend product life while contributing to sales growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or petroleum technology, ideally with API certifications.
• 5+ years of oilfield services experience including pressure pumping and fluid end maintenance.
• Technical certifications in pump mechanics, hydraulics, or maintenance and reliability are a plus.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and field problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer-facing and relationship-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and UTEX, ensuring our well service products meet operations needs.
• Perform on-site inspections and performance assessments to optimize packing performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose failures, recommend preventative maintenance, and guide lubrication and installation best practices.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D, and engineering to translate field data into product improvements.
• Travel up to 50% to support customers in the North Texas/Oklahoma region.
