Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to provide onsite IT support for Lowe’s, including hardware, software, and networking issues. A company vehicle and necessary tools are provided, with two weeks of onsite training to ensure smooth onboarding.

The role requires 1+ year of IT support or field experience, CompTIA A+ certification, and strong customer service skills. Valid driver’s license is required for daily travel to SC Lowe’s locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT technical support or field technician experience.
• CompTIA A+ (required), Network+ preferred.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and IT hardware.
• Experience with cabling (copper/fiber) is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and break/fix support.
• Support copper and fiber cabling, including basic terminations.
• Document all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Travel daily to provide onsite support at Lowe’s locations in SC.
• Work with remote teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
• Occasionally work at heights (20-25 feet) and lift up to 25 lbs.
