Qualifications

• 2+ years in field technician or telecom/network environment.
• Hands-on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining telecom or network equipment.
• Experience with fiber, routers, and related testing activities.
• Strong computer skills and good communication abilities.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber‑optic and network infrastructure.
• Perform router installations, rack‑and‑stack activities, network turn‑up testing, outage response, and repair work.
• Conduct fiber testing and support network restoration activities.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Complete administrative documentation, reporting, and operational records accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with technicians and cross‑functional teams to maintain network reliability and service performance.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation approximately every 6 to 7 weeks as primary or secondary support.
• Follow established safety and service quality procedures while supporting multiple field initiatives.
