Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in field technician, telecom, or network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining telecom or network equipment.
• Experience with fiber infrastructure, routers, network hardware, and related testing activities.
• Strong computer skills including email and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber-optic and network infrastructure.
• Perform router installations, rack-and-stack, network turn-up testing, outage response, and repair work.
• Conduct fiber testing and support network restoration activities.
• Inspect contractor work for quality and standards compliance.

The Role

We are seeking a Field Technician II to support telecommunications infrastructure operations across the Denver market. In this role, you will perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fiber‑optic and network infrastructure while helping ensure network reliability and service quality. This position offers extensive onboarding, hands‑on mentorship, and long‑term career growth opportunities within a collaborative field operations team.

The Main Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber‑optic and network infrastructure.
• Perform router installations, rack‑and‑stack activities, network turn‑up testing, outage response, and repair work.
• Conduct fiber testing and support network restoration activities.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.
• Complete administrative documentation, reporting, and operational records accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with technicians and cross‑functional teams to maintain network reliability and service performance.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation approximately every 6 to 7 weeks as primary or secondary support.
• Follow established safety, operational, and service quality procedures while supporting multiple field initiatives.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• 2+ years of experience in a field technician, telecommunications, or network infrastructure environment.
• Hands‑on experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications or network equipment.
• Experience working with fiber infrastructure, routers, network hardware, and related testing activities.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with email, Microsoft Teams, and multiple software applications.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, accountability, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn new processes, technologies, and systems quickly.
• Ability to work in physical field environments and perform installation and repair activities. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental elements while performing field‑based responsibilities.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call support rotation.
• Telecommunications field operations experience.
• Fiber testing experience and network restoration support experience.
