Job summary

TEKsystems in Killeen, TX is seeking a Field Technical Specialist to provide on-site and field support for a large healthcare technology deployment, including workstation configuration, hardware installation, and go-live activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, desktop support, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with travel between local sites and direct end-user interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop or help desk support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based environments.
• Experience supporting Microsoft applications and common business software.
• Knowledge of computer imaging and workstation deployment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and field support for end users in a healthcare environment.
• Install, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Set up and configure new workstations.
• Perform software installations and updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues.
• Reset passwords and manage basic Active Directory account support.
• Add users to security groups and configure access permissions.
• Map network drives and network printers.
• Re-image and deploy laptops and desktop systems.
• Perform hardware replacements and equipment swaps.
• Test and support VoIP phone installations.
• Assist with deployment, go-live, and user support activities.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and resolution notes.
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clinical and administrative personnel.
