Job summary

TECHNOLOGY LAB, LLC is seeking a Tier 1 Field Tech in the Dallas area to provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software systems. The role involves installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of AV equipment, network gear, and end-user devices, working with Tier 2/3 staff for complex issues.

You will be responsible for documentation, customer service, and timely ticket escalation, with a regular 8–5 schedule, and occasional after-hours coverage during large rollouts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a technical support role.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Macs, PCs, and Chromebooks.
• Ability to identify network hardware including switches, racks, firewalls, patch panels, and fiber.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Onsite at clients 70% of the time and Remote 30% of the time.
• Occasional evenings and weekends; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients.
• Install and configure hardware and software systems (network hardware, access points, projectors, doc cams, charging carts).
• Diagnose minor A/V issues (HDMI, projectors, doc cams).
• Handle help desk tickets and escalate as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication of all client interactions and resolutions.
• Work closely with other techs to resolve complex issues.
