Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract Desktop Support Technician to provide desk-side and field support across Houston-area facilities, including travel to Sugar Land.

You will deploy workstations, troubleshoot Windows, hardware, and software, manage incidents in ServiceNow, and coordinate with IT teams to ensure uptime for clinical and administrative users. This onsite role offers stability within a healthcare enterprise and a comprehensive benefits scope for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of enterprise desktop support or deployment experience.
• Experience with Windows OS, printers and peripherals.
• Proficient in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Ability to travel between local facilities and communicate effectively.
• Strong documentation and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support for end users across the MD Anderson main campus and facilities.
• Support upcoming building activations and go-live events, onboarding users, devices and IT services.
• Perform workstation deployments, hardware install, configuration and replacement activities.
• Assist with enterprise device refresh initiatives, including desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot desktop, hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Handle tickets and service requests while meeting SLA expectations.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, networking and application teams to resolve issues.
• Travel to satellite locations like Sugar Land and other facilities within the system.
• Document support activities, configurations and resolutions accurately.
• Provide white-glove service to clinical, administrative and executive stakeholders.
