Job summary

Advance Tank and Construction seeks a Field Tank Foreman for our Texas City jobsite. The role requires supervising a crew, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and quality throughout tank construction and repair projects.

The position entails extensive travel within the United States, five-to-ten hour shifts with overtime opportunities, and staying aligned with site protocols. Benefits include 401K, health and dental insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety requirements when building tanks in large plant environments (safety first).
• Extensive experience in constructing or repairing large storage tanks, bins, silos, clarifiers and other steel plate fabricated products.
• Ability to direct, supervise and train 5 to 15 other employees in the construction or repair of Tanks.
• Knowledge of the operations and mechanics of equipment such as generators, welders, air compressors, cranes; certifications where applicable.
• Ability to manually move objects weighing 70 to 100 pounds and climb ladders to tall heights; work in confined spaces.
• Capable of performing paperwork and using Microsoft Office Suites and construction scheduling software.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Must manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining composure.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine sequence of construction for Tanks.
• Oversee, direct, maintain and train a crew of 2-15 workers while keeping the schedule.
• Work side by side with welders and laborers performing manual Tank construction.
• Prepare paperwork for regional office and customers for progress and payroll.
• Coordinate with customer, inspectors and suppliers at the jobsite for project completion.
• Work with Safety and Quality Control to ensure safe, knowledgeable construction of Tanks.
• Perform construction/repair work within the budget presented and maintain equipment.
• Care for and maintain equipment at the job site.
