Job summary

HMT, LLC is seeking an Assistant Foreman to lead field crews on Aboveground Storage Tank projects in Beaumont, TX. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to contract specs, and coordination with the Tank Foreman to deliver on-site tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities include directing personnel, maintaining QA/QC, completing field paperwork, and training crew members in tank building. Travel 75–100% is required, and heavy lifting and working in confined spaces are expected as part of the workload.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in the AST industry space (Above Ground Storage Tank industry).
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and POV (personally owned vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Direct personnel in the safe execution of site-specific scope of work items and ensure work is performed efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Tank Foreman to understand scope, communicate issues, and maintain QA/QC compliance.
• Complete general site paperwork, timesheets, T&M sheets, and purchase orders.
• Provide onsite customer relations and assist with red-line drawings and sketches as required.
• Train crew members in tank building and mentor prospective Field Foremen.
• Travel 75%–100% to various locations across the U.S.
