Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across California and nationally. The role requires installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs, with overnight travel and on-call rotation.

Strong self-starter with remote work flexibility is preferred. Responsibilities include building customer relationships, promoting service agreements, and collaborating with sales and applications teams to drive revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in troubleshooting and/or repair.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements.
• Foster teamwork and drive field service revenue through billable offerings.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO within the first year.
• Travel for local and national coverage as needed.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation (~every 5 weeks).
• Complete service work orders and QA checklists in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory, vehicle, and equipment per policy.
