Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers within California and nationally. The role involves remote coordination, on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs with travel across regions.

You will collaborate with sales and applications teams to enhance customer experience and drive service revenues. The position requires a degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant technical experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related field.
• Requires 2+ years of professional experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs, install, maintain, upgrade, and repair instruments.
• Build trusted relationships, promote service agreements, and identify cross-functional sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training (6–9 weeks) in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO within the first year.
• Travel for customer visits, including overnight stays as needed; participate in on-call rotation.
