Job summary

bioMerieux seeks a National Field System Engineer to install, maintain, and service laboratory instruments for customers across California and beyond. The role involves frequent travel, strong technical troubleshooting, and proactive customer communication.

The engineer will perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs, while coordinating with dispatchers and regional leadership to optimize service itineraries and meet revenue goals. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or other related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in troubleshooting/repair if no Bachelor's.
• Valid driver's license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, field actions, and equipment removals.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments to board/subassembly level.
• Travel regularly within US and nationally as needed.
• Build customer relationships and identify service or sales opportunities.
• Document service activities and manage schedules with dispatch.
• Support sales, applications, marketing, and customer service teams.
