Job summary

Aristocrat Gaming is seeking a Field Engineer I to serve as the primary technical contact at customer sites, coordinating software installations, upgrades, and hardware configurations. You will troubleshoot software, firmware, and hardware issues while developing project plans to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant tech experience, strong Windows/Linux knowledge, and certs like A+, Network+ or Cisco.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization, and networking concepts.
• Experience with database administration and enterprise networking technologies.
• Familiarity with clustered servers, containers (Kubernetes), and SAN environments is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus.
• Experience in casino or gaming environments is helpful but not required.
• Eligible to acquire relevant gaming licenses (e.g., Tribal Gaming Licenses).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customer sites.
• Plan, coordinate, and complete software installations, upgrades, and hardware configurations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to software, firmware, and hardware.
• Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely execution.
• Provide post-installation aid to preserve system stability and customer happiness.
• Collaborate to ensure adherence to regulatory and operational requirements.
• Document processes and compose detailed reports for continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel up to 75% to support client locations and project activities.
