Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is offering a DOD SkillBridge Program opportunity for a Survey Technician based in Wake Forest, NC. The 3-month immersive program focuses on field surveying work, including boundary and ALTA surveys, GPS data collection, and construction staking, alongside experienced crew chiefs.

Applicants must be military members within 180 days of separation, possess a valid license, and be willing to work outdoors in rugged conditions. Relocation or visa sponsorship are not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a Military Service Member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before your separation date
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the firm’s standard rates. Must also own their own transportation.
• General knowledge of land surveying and AutoCAD drafting are preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS data collection
• Participate in construction staking
• Gain experience with Trimble, Robotic Total Station, and GPS equipment
• Interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors
