Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Person to operate and maintain survey equipment for field activities, including profile surveys and pipeline-related work. The role supports the Survey Party Chief, ensuring quality, safety, and timely data collection in diverse environments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED acceptable), GPS knowledge, and the ability to travel as needed. Strong PC skills and excellent documentation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• GPS knowledge preferred; willingness to travel.
• Proficiency with PC software and data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for field activities.
• Assist Survey Party Chief with planning, documentation and task assignments.
• Monitor field performance and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Prepare daily logs, field notes, and survey records for submission.
