Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instruments for profile surveys, line locations, and related activities. You will work closely with the Survey Party Chief to execute project plans and ensure documentation and data quality."

The role requires two years of surveying experience, GPS knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel as needed. This on-site position offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and valid driver’s license.
• GPS knowledge preferred for survey work.
• Must have two years surveying experience with instrumentman background.
• Knowledge of cross-country pipeline surveying and data collection techniques.
• ACSM Survey Technician Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for low-tech activities such as profile surveys and line locations.
• Assist Survey Party Chief in implementing project survey policies and assigning tasks.
• Monitor survey personnel performance, ensure quality and safety, and document survey results.
• Prepare field notes, reports, and documentation for project completion.
• Assist in resolving survey performance issues with clients and landowners.
