Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for pipeline and field surveys. You will work closely with the Survey Party Chief to execute survey plans, ensure quality data, and meet project timelines.

The role requires hands-on operation, data collection, and adherence to safety and project procedures. Responsibilities include guiding survey personnel, coordinating with client representatives, and supporting field operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum two years surveying experience with instrumentman experience.
• Knowledge of electronic data collection methods for cross-country pipeline surveying.
• Knowledge of survey instrumentation operating procedures and data collection techniques.
• ACSM Survey Technician Certificate preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to domestic or foreign locations.
• Good oral communication and ability to prepare clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Implement the execution plan for survey activities, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation.
• Assist Survey Party Chief with project planning, policies, guidelines and safety.
• Monitor survey progress and ensure quality and timely documentation.
• Travel to project sites as required.
