Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Survey Instrument Technician to operate and maintain survey equipment for profile surveys, line locations, and related tasks. You will work with the Survey Party Chief to ensure accurate data and adherence to project policies.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, GPS knowledge, valid driver's license, and two years of surveying experience. Travel and relocation may be required; training and career development are supported.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• GPS knowledge preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Minimum two years surveying experience.
• Knowledge of survey instrumentation operating procedures and data collection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys, line locations, and pipeline-related tasks.
• Assist Survey Party Chief in planning, data collection, and documentation.
• Monitor progress to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Prepare field notes and records as required by project guidelines.
• Provide guidance to survey personnel and support project coordination.
