Job summary

TRC, a global environmental and engineering firm, seeks a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys, line locations, and related tasks. You will support the Survey Party Chief and ensure data quality, safety, and schedule adherence, with opportunities for growth and field leadership.

The role involves planning, coordinating tasks, and documenting survey activities, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of surveying experience with instrumentman background.
• GPS knowledge preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to relocate to domestic or foreign locations.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Execute survey activities per plan, including estimating a budget and schedule.
• Assist Survey Party Chief in implementing project survey policies and procedures.
• Maintain survey data and field notes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards across survey work.
• Coordinate with client and landowners to resolve issues affecting survey progress.
