Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for field activities, including profile surveys and line locations.

You will work with the Survey Party Chief to ensure accurate data collection and adherence to project requirements, in a dynamic field environment. The role requires at least two years of surveying experience, knowledge of GPS and data collection methods, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Minimum two years surveying experience with instrumentman background.
• Knowledge of electronic data collection methods for cross-country surveying and survey data collection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for low-tech activities (profile surveys, line locations, etc.).
• Assist Survey Party Chief to execute survey work and methods.
• Monitor surveying activities for quality, safety, and documentation.
