Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP, seeks a Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey equipment for pipeline and route surveys. You will work with the Survey Party Chief to ensure accurate data, timely schedules, and compliant documentation in field conditions.

The role requires two years of surveying experience, valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving skills. Travel and outdoor work are required in varied terrains and climates.

Qualifications

• Two years surveying experience with Instrumentman background.
• Knowledge of electronic data collection methods for cross-country surveys.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; ACSM Survey Technician certificate preferred.
• Ability to operate survey instrumentation and maintain field notes.

Responsibilities

• Execute survey activities and assist in project planning and documentation.
• Monitor data collection, ensure quality and adherence to schedules.
• Support Survey Party Chief; orient personnel on project requirements.
• Maintain survey equipment and prepare as-built field notes and reports.
• Coordinate with clients and landowners to resolve issues affecting surveys.
