Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys, line re-stake, line locating, and related tasks.

You will assist the Survey Party Chief, ensure data quality, and support field surveying activities across projects. Responsibilities include executing the plan, orienting personnel, and maintaining documentation while coordinating with the client and landowners to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• GPS knowledge preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Implement the execution plan with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Orient survey personnel and assign tasks.
• Monitor performance, ensure quality and safety, and report progress to the Survey Party Chief.
• Maintain field notes and survey data for project records.
• Assist in project planning and coordination and ensure documentation is complete.
