Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation on pipeline and field surveys in Houston, TX. You will support the Survey Party Chief, perform data collection, and ensure safety and quality on project tasks.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of surveying experience, and knowledge of GPS data collection. Training will cover TRC field procedures and documentation practices; relocation not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum two years surveying experience.
• Knowledge of electronic data collection methods for cross-country pipeline surveying.
• Knowledge of survey instrumentation operating procedures and data collection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Implements the written plan for project execution, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Assigns tasks and monitors performance to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Orients personnel on project requirements, safety, and quality procedures.
• Assists in coordinating personnel and equipment to carry out survey activities.
• Maintains field notes and survey data documentation for quality assurance.
