Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Survey Instrument person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for low-tech activities such as profile surveys, line locations, and related tasks.

You will work with the Survey Party Chief to execute survey work, implement project survey policies, and assign tasks to field personnel. You will monitor performance, ensure quality control, and assist in resolving issues with clients and landowners to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Minimum two years surveying experience.
• Knowledge of field data collection methods and TRC survey procedures.
• ACSM Survey Technician Certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for field activities.
• Assist Survey Party Chief in planning, data collection, and documentation.
• Monitor quality, documentation, and safety in survey activities.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and client coordination as needed.
