Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Field Support Engineer to join our national intelligence program. Work is performed at customer site(s) and the position is contingent on contract award. You will provide expert technical support, guidance on installation and configuration, training to customers, and collaboration with developers to reduce incidents.

Travel may be required CONUS/OCONUS. The candidate should hold TS/SCI with Poly, CISSP or Security+, and strong Windows/Linux/SQL skills, with

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Poly.
• BS/BA with 5 years experience or MS/MA with 3 years, PhD exceptions.
• 4 years experience may substitute for a degree.
• Current CISSP or Security+ certification.
• Windows/Unix/Linux admin experience and database skills.
• Microsoft products, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL knowledge.
• General networking knowledge.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert and second-tier technical support to field engineers.
• Advise on installation, configuration, or enhancement of products and systems.
• Test, train, and provide field support to customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems; modify products per requirements.
• Maintain network stability and fast incident resolution; maximize MTTR.
• Provide training to customers.
• Collaborate with developers to reduce recurring incidents.
• Travel/TDY CONUS and OCONUS as required.
