Job summary

Peraton seeks a highly skilled Technical Support professional to join our government-focused team in Herndon, VA. The role requires collaboration with government customers, ISSO, and end users, plus hands-on system monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution.

You will document procedures, maintain systems, and support critical National Security initiatives. Applicants should have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or the ability to obtain it, a related bachelor's degree with 8+

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph adjudication or ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with PeopleSoft Technical Support.
• Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain systems per project specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for server-based applications and IT infrastructure components.
• Ability to perform occasional after-hours tasks.
• Ensure proper documentation of system operation and maintenance procedures.
• Perform performance monitoring and provide issue documentation, including recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government customers, contractor Project Lead, ISSO, Application Vendor, and End Users.
• Perform daily system monitoring and monthly tasks.
• Ensure maximum issue resolution to meet SLAs.
• Implement policies for problem handling and escalation.
• Respond to system issues using a ticketing system and report to customer location when needed.
• Direct staff activities to improve support practices and resolution times.
• Coordinate customer service activities with internal functions.
• Assist users with software applications and provide immediate problem resolution.
• Create or update documentation related to system operations.
