Job summary

BD Parata Field Support Engineer in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC region will provide advanced technical support, preventive maintenance, and installation/repair of pharmacy automation equipment at customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, strong Windows and networking skills, and excellent communication with pharmacists and healthcare professionals. Regular travel and on-site operations are expected.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of field service or related technical experience.
Strong Windows OS and software troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of TCP/IP and basic network diagnostics.
Ability to diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

Deliver customer service while troubleshooting and maintaining pharmacy automation equipment.
Diagnose electromechanical, software, networking, and system integration issues.
Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to maximize uptime.
Respond to service requests within SLAs.
Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance.
Document service activities and findings in Salesforce Field Service.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
Travel within territory, including overnight stays as needed.
