Job summary

Red Cedar Construction Services seeks a Construction Superintendent to own field execution on multi‑family and commercial projects in the Charlotte, NC area. You will manage daily operations, maintain look‑ahead scheduling, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards on site.

You will drive production, manage documentation in Procore, and lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with multifamily or podium experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Procore for daily reporting, punch lists, RFI management, photo documentation, and inspection tracking; ability to keep field records current.
• Ability to read and build from full construction documents including architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and specification sections.

Responsibilities

• Own field execution and daily site operations; maintain schedule adherence and safety.
• Direct, coordinate, and hold accountable all subcontractors and self-perform crews on site; enforce scope, schedule, quality, and safety obligations.
• Drive production to meet or beat the project schedule; collaborate on schedule updates and provide field input for forecasting.
• Enforce RCCS quality standards; issue punch lists, track items to completion, and ensure turnover readiness.
• Own jobsite safety; conduct weekly toolbox talks and safety inspections; document incidents and hazards same-day in Procore.
• Maintain current field construction documents; ensure subcontractors are working from latest drawings and specs.
• Escalate schedule risks or unforeseen conditions to PM; document all directions in writing.
• Lead field closeout operations including punch list, inspections, and turnover to owner.
