Job summary

Centennial Contractors Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a field-driven Superintendent to supervise subcontractors and craft personnel on commercial and industrial projects across the Charlotte area. You will ensure safety, quality, and progress, updating schedules and coordinating site operations.

The role requires strong communication, time management, and the ability to travel to project sites. A B.S. in CM or Engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in Construction Management or Engineering a plus but not required
• 2–5 years related experience in the construction industry with a commercial/industrial general contractor
• Experience supervising and managing multiple subcontractors on multiple construction and repair projects
• LEED construction experience is a plus
• Basic computer understanding including e-mail, MS Office and internet access
• Good oral communication skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to travel to various project sites/states, required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day‑to‑day supervision, coordination and quality control of subcontractors and craft personnel.
• Ensures safety and well‑being of employees at project sites.
• Updates the project schedule and ensures deadlines are met.
• Acquire and maintain OSHA Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, CPR Certification, and USACE CQM certification
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and job site operations for job order contracts in accordance with Centennial's Superintendent's Manual
• Review and provide input on project scope of work and development
• Help establish and maintain project schedules including start, progress, and completion
• Control all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements, noise and dust control, and utility shutdown procedures
• Provide daily safety awareness and inspections to ensure safety on site
• Provide job site quality control checks to ensure construction aligns with project scope and Owner standards
• Prepare and submit accurate daily reports; post reports on intranet
• Coordinate with Project Manager for job progress meetings and distribute minutes
• Schedule all project activities per schedule timelines
• Manage punch lists and project closeout
• Team player with PSO, PM, QC and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ guidelines and local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1)
• Notify supervisor of any HSEQ infraction
