Job summary

Schindler in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Field Superintendent for New Installations to oversee all phases of elevator installation projects. You will lead 12–20 field technicians, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and collaborate with contractors, customers, and internal teams.

You bring a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in technical leadership in elevators or construction, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and comfort working with unions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in elevator/ construction industry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12–20 field technicians by enforcing quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy.
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through site visits and communication.
• Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives, resolving employee relations and staffing issues.
• Support sales and project management with bid estimates, progress meetings, and complaint resolution.
• Ensure all installation projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements.
