Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation in Overland Park, KS is seeking a staff Subcontracts Administrator to provide administrative support for field subcontract processes. You will track deliverables, support closeout documentation, and maintain subcontract files while learning company policies and contract requirements.

You will learn subcontract administration, shadow specialists, and contribute to cost tracking and documentation across power, water, grid, and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Business, technical or related field preferred.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search), in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor submittals and maintain project documentation.
• Document correspondence and routine subcontract communications.
• Assist with processing pay applications and invoice reviews.
• Prepare meeting minutes and support closeout documentation activities.
• Assist with time-and-material (T&M) cost tracking and documentation.
• Support preparation of work authorizations and change order documentation.
• Maintain subcontract files and ensure records are complete and current.
• Track required subcontractor deliverables and follow up on outstanding items.
• Learn subcontract administration procedures, company policies, and contract requirements.
• Shadow Subcontracts Specialists during subcontract negotiations, issue resolution discussions, and project meetings.
