Job summary

CDM Smith, a leading design-build firm, seeks a Site Construction Manager 1 to lead field operations on client project sites across the United States. This in-the-field role focuses on safety, quality control, scheduling, drawings conformance, and strong client relations.

100% travel, with potential to support other Construction Managers on large or complex projects. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus nine (9) years of relevant experience; degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; at least three (3) years in Construction Management/Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversees subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and compliant with drawings.
• Maintains project schedule and informs Project Construction Manager of delays.
• Writes Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for project records.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports and ensures latest design drawings are used.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager.
