Job summary

cb20 is seeking a Field Services Technician to install wireless access points and perform site surveys. You will manage on-site installations and coordinate with customers to ensure smooth deployments across New York and surrounding areas.

This role requires traveling to client sites, handling inventory, and maintaining equipment. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required for a successful fit within cb20.

Qualifications

• Education: AAS degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience with field services support and network cabling.
• 2+ years’ experience with PC systems, peripherals, structure cabling, common software programs and operating systems.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install and support wireless access points at customer locations.
• Manage all on-site installations.
• Perform all on-site installation, configuration, and testing activities.
• Completion of physical and wireless site surveys at customer locations.
• Prepare and update work orders, expense reports and time sheets.
• Function as a liaison between cb20 team and the customer.
• Travel to customer locations with a flexible work schedule; possible after-hours or early morning installations.
• Operate company vehicle and maintain equipment stock.
